How have we been missing out on this place for so long? It's a very welcoming indoor/outdoor space from the moment you walk in. We had the burger and a salad with fried chicken added and both really hit the spot. Plus there's happy hour everyday from 3-6 with burgers on the HH menu. Can't beat that! Great food, fast service and good vibes all around.

We were lucky and found a parking spot right in front of the restaurant on a Saturday morning. The instructions for ordering were posted at the door - order by QR code menu and leave dishes on the table. A waitperson drops by your table with your items. I had a kouign-amann and a cappuccino. The pastry was delicious and flaky but not as sweet as some I've had. Cappuccino could have been warmer. Hubby had a breakfast taco with fries that he rated 5 stars. Also, free refills on drip coffee. My friend had the oyster mushroom quiche and she said it was delicious and on a crispy crust but the mushrooms were very chewy. Gluten-free friend had a red goat memela - a corn tortilla topped with smoked goat, oaxaca cheese, and fried egg which she enjoyed. The weather was perfect for sitting outdoors which added to the ambiance. I must come back to enjoy more of the baked goods - yum!

Hip and upbeat place. We went on an early Friday night. The place was packed but amazingly they had a table for us, party of two. My dinner companion was gluten sensitive. We were actually not sure of their accommodation for his diet. But he ordered burger without buns. I ordered the Cuban pork sandwich, which was quite yummy! We ordered some fries that almost didn't arrive but a quick chat to the kitchen fixed that. The best part imo? Their Paloma. It had a sublime salt foam on top that elevated the drink ten times over. Love it. Will definitely come back and bring our whole family.

We stopped by Sour Duck for their Sunday Happy Hour after a show at Bass Concert Hall - close enough to the venue, and it was a fantastic experience! Great deals, easy ordering, and fast service--everything you want in a casual HH spot. We even lucked out with street parking right in front of the restaurant! On a nice day, this is the perfect al fresco dining spot. If you haven't been for HH yet, you need to check it out! Their famous smash burger + beer deal (with a side of fries) was a hit with everyone in our group. I went for the fried broccoli, which was super tasty. Will definitely be back for more great HH deals, fast & efficient service, and the laid-back patio vibes!

I was told this is a sister restaurant of Barley Swine, which we also visited during my trip to Austin. We came here for brunch around 9:30am on a Saturday, before heading to the airport. There were plenty of tables available on the patio. This was a casual, outdoor spot to have breakfast. There are QR codes at every table to order food, and the food came out quickly. I ordered the vegetarian breakfast sandwich (avocado subbed for sausage), and a side of fries. My friends ordered the fried broccoli, earl grey cruffin, salad, and breakfast taco. We thought everything was tasty, though my friend said she would prefer less eggs and some meat on her breakfast taco. The broccoli was fantastic-definitely order it while you're here! Overall, this is a great place for breakfast or lunch, and super kid and dog friendly.

Sour Duck Market is a wonderful weekend brunch spot! Love the casual vibe of the spacious back patio, filled with picnic tables and communal seating. I appreciate that it's an inclusive space that welcomes guests of all ages (they have a giant chalkboard for kids to play with) and is pet friendly as well! They have a sizable beer list. I ordered a local hazy IPA and the fried chicken hash from the brunch menu. My food was outstanding - a generous portion of fried chicken thigh served on top of roasted sweet potatoes and green beans, drizzled with what tasted like a Chipotle aioli sauce. So flavorful and delicious! Perfect meal and experience on a hot Austin day.

Loved this place in person. Great food, drinks, and atmosphere. The outdoor seating area was very spacious and felt "happening". Ordered from DoorDash - and food was also delicious - but definitely a bit pricey. $20 for a salad with chicken.

I have lived in Austin for many years on the East Side and I always pass this place and finally decided that today was the day - boy did I miss out for awhile because the vibe is great here. I popped in and sat at their bar and as the stars aligned I noticed only wanted a burger but they had a Happy Hour special with a beer! It was a delicious smash burger that was trying desperately to slide apart making it a fork and knife rescue however I persevered and ate it fast which wasn't and issue given the crust of the smash burger was great! Additionally I ordered the cheesy bread with oil and although it was good I may have held off as the meal was already a lot for me. The fries were great and I promised not to eat them all - trying to eat better but maybe next NYE resolution! So if you want a great vibe with loads of friendly staff and patrons then this is your Austin watering hole.

Cheesy baguette was very okay. The torts however definitely made up for it. The bread is super nice here and I would come back for the food. Everything seems done in house which is nice to see. This also puts the price range from 15+. Next time I come here I'll likely try some pastries. Sadly I was a bit in a rush and was full from these two items. I went during a lunch hour with coworkers so it was quite. They have a solid happy hour at10$ for a burger and a beer! I will be back for the happy hour.

They have such a great happy hour. Tumeric mule (literally best ever) and baby margs for only six bucks. Single burgers are also only $6 during HH and $9 for double. The smash-style burgers are made of wagyu beef and pimento cheese. Literally TDF (to die for). Brekkie is pretty much yum as well. Breakfast tacos and sandwiches with eggs, sausage, and other choices always hit the spot and are so filling!
